Ok – so my Princess Luna plushie from PlushieScraleos actually arrived yesterday but I had to work a long day yesterday so I didn’t have any time to take pics in the morning (I only got home at 8.30pm and as you know, I hate taking pics under artificial lighting).
As I mentioned in my last post about her:
“While I’m not a huge Princess Luna fan, I feel I can’t truly call myself a pony plushie collector without owning at least one Princess Luna plushie – after all, she is a classic fan favourite (my favourite princess is still Princess Cadance )!”
So here she is!
Isn’t she majestically gorgeous? I <3 her so very much! She stands sturdily at approximately 19″ tall and is made completely from super soft high quality minky (yes, unfortunately not all minky is made the same T^T!) and her details are largely machine embroidered (the black ‘clouds’ in her cutie marks are black minky appliqués) and her mane and tail are decorated with beautiful sparkly rhinestones! She’s also stuffed perfectly and very uniformly so that she’s soft and cuddly with no uneven lumps or bumps anywhere.
PlushieScraleos did an amazing job! She’s best known for her Princess Luna plushies :3 and her price is amazingly reasonable. As I mentioned last time, I made a few specific requests including larger mane, tail and wings and ‘demure’ looking eyes – I’m extremely pleased with how she’s turned out!
A few things I thought I would mention – firstly, I was quite surprised at how small the package she came in was, because I assumed her mane/tail would take up more space! But it’s actually because the mane/tail have no wiring in them and her mane’s not sewed down in place (so I had to use pins to hold it in position for now, but I’m planning to put in a few anchoring stitches once the right coloured Gutermann threads I ordered yesterday arrive!).
Secondly, I think she got squashed a bit during her transit here so a part of the seam on her rump popped open :<, but that’s OK, I can easily stitch her up (as soon as the threads come!).
And lastly, instead of having 3 small ‘blobs’ in each of her cutie marks, she only has 2. However, I’m not too fussed especially since there are several different variations to her cutie marks anyway (in the plushie world).
This Luna plushie is a beautiful addition to my collection – she now stands tall & proud beside my huge Rarity and Braeburn plushies on the top of my pony shelf!
